Tiffany Grant

Chief of Staff

Tiffany Grant

Tiffany is the proud chief of staff for Communities In Schools National Office. In her role, Tiffany works behind the scenes to support the organization’s CEO, executive leaders, and all staff to problem solve, coordinate and promote internal communications, strategize and thought partner, and support cross functional teams and departments in transition.

Prior to joining CIS, Tiffany was the executive vice president at a San Antonio-based collective impact organization whose aim is to ensure that students across the city are future-ready. She was also the first chief of staff for the city's largest urban school district. During her nearly 12-year tenure in public education, Tiffany led and served the following areas: student attendance and retention, family and community engagement, district policy and procedures, board and superintendent services, strategic partnerships, and the equity and inclusion office. Ironically, her relationship with CIS began when she was charged with managing the local district contract – a partnership that spanned nearly 10 years.

Tiffany is a passionate servant leader who is an experienced (and in some areas certified) strategist and people leader and mentor and career coach. She is fueled by serving others and improving systems. Tiffany currently serves on several education- related boards and she is very active in her local community and church.

Tiffany has a doctorate in educational leadership. Her doctoral studies center on the cross section of race and gender and their impact on discipline disproportionality specifically amongst young black girls. She also earned an executive MBA and a bachelor's in communication with an emphasis in marketing. She is an alum of Leadership San Antonio as well as a fellow of the Social Ventures Partners – San Antonio. Tiffany is a published author and poet as well as a recording artist. But, of all her accolades and the many hats that she wears, her absolute proudest and most favorite is “foster mom”. She currently fosters and will soon adopt an amazing (and busy) toddler.
