Jessy Cuddy
Vice President, Learning and Practice
Jessy Cuddy was promoted to Vice President of Learning and Practice at the Communities In Schools® (CIS®) National Office in 2024. Since joining CIS in 2015, she has held several key roles, contributing to weaving a tight network of connected Communities In Schools practitioners to advance the fidelity and quality of the CIS model of integrated student supports.
In her current role, Jessy leads the team responsible for supporting the CIS network by developing, organizing, and providing resources, engagement opportunities, and promosing practices to practitioners within the CIS network. These resources are focused on maintaining fidelity and ensuring high-quality implementation of the CIS model. The Learning & Practice Office creates meaningful engagement opportunities to ensure those supporting students, families, and school communities have the tools, resources, and relationships they need to succeed.
Prior to joining CIS, Jessy spent 7 years at Save the Children, overseeing education and early childhood programs in rural communities and managing disaster recovery programming in response to domestic and international crises. She holds a master’s in social work from Tulane University, with certifications in Disaster Mental Health and International Social Work. She is actively involved in her local community, as a recipient of Alexandia’s Chamber of Commerce 40 Under 40 in 2022 and having served as a commissioner and Chair of the Alexandria Children, Youth, and Families Collaborative Commission from 2020–2024. Jessy lives in Alexandria, VA, with her two children, super-human husband, mother, and family dog.
