Get students what they need – when they need it:

Children are individuals with individualized needs. Our school-based site coordinators respond quickly, on a case-by-case basis to get kids what they need — when they need it. Help can be as simple as providing school supplies to a child in need or as intensive as providing long term case management; it all depends on the child.
 

Provide Prevention and Intervention Services:

Level One / Prevention Service:   resources such as providing school supplies, clothing, or health screenings which are made available to all students at one of our school-based sites.

Level Two / Intervention Services:   long-term resources provided through well defined initiatives targeted for students and families including, such as, tutoring, mentoring, case management, and curriculum.

Use Evidence Based Programs and Curriculum:

• Guiding Good Choices. Drug prevention program for parents of children ages 9-14. 
• Check and Connect. Comprehensive student engagement intervention program.
• All Stars. Problem behavior prevention program. 
• All About Middle School. Transition preparedness program.

Communities In Schools is the only dropout prevention program in the nation proven to increase graduation rates.
